- Your Stay: The contract for your stay or activity is strictly between you and the service provider. Therefore, Hotelz.lk cannot be held responsible for disputes, injuries, or issues that occur during your visit. However, we take user feedback very seriously and will investigate any listing that fails to meet our community standards.
- Safety in Direct Bookings: We provide direct contact channels, such as WhatsApp and external links, to give you the freedom to communicate directly with owners and secure the best rates. While we facilitate these connections, please note that any payments or agreements made through these channels are handled outside of our platform. We encourage users to follow standard safety practices when making direct arrangements, as Hotelz.lk does not oversee or take responsibility for these private transactions.
Rules for Listing Owners
To maintain the integrity of our platform and provide the best experience for travelers, all listing owners must adhere to the following:
- Verifiable Business Presence: To ensure trust, providing a valid Business Registration ID is a mandatory requirement during registration. We reserve the right to decline or remove any account that cannot be verified as a legitimate business entity.
- Accuracy of Information: Owners are responsible for ensuring that all listing details—including pricing, availability, and amenities—are kept current and accurate.
- Content Standards: To maintain a professional appearance, we do not allow:
- False, misleading, or outdated information.
- Images with watermarks from other websites or third-party brands.
- Duplicate listings for the same business or property.
- The promotion of specific time-bound discounts in general listings (these are paid features).
Promotional Packages and Visibility
We offer promotional opportunities to help businesses increase their reach on our platform.
- Promotional Payments: For featured packages, payment instructions will be provided via official channels, such as manual bank transfers or invoices.
- Visibility vs. Results: While our promotional tools are designed to significantly increase your property’s visibility, we do not guarantee a specific volume of inquiries or bookings, as these depend on various market factors.
- Commitment to Promotion: To ensure the stability of our featured listings, all payments for promotional packages are final. If a listing is removed or cancelled by the owner before the term expires, we are unable to provide pro-rated refunds.
Protecting Intellectual Property
- Our Platform: The design, logo, and “Hotelz.lk” brand are the exclusive property of Collk (Pvt) Ltd. We ask that you respect our creative work and refrain from unauthorized use of our brand assets.
- Your Content: By sharing photos and descriptions of your property, you grant Collk (Pvt) Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and use this content on our Website and our official social media channels for the purpose of promoting your business and the Sri Lankan tourism industry.
Website Access and Reliability
We aim to provide a seamless experience for our community. On occasion, we may need to perform scheduled maintenance to improve our platform. We will always endeavor to notify you in advance of any planned downtime and appreciate your understanding during these brief periods.
Maintaining Community Standards
To protect our users, we may find it necessary to remove a listing or ban a user under specific circumstances, such as:
- Repeated verified complaints from travelers regarding service quality.
- The provision of false or fraudulent business credentials.
- A significant number of negative reviews supported by credible proof.
- Professional Courtesy: If a listing with a paid promotional package is found to be in violation of these Terms, we will prioritize direct communication via email and telephone to resolve the issue before taking any action to remove the listing.
Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to keep up with new laws or platform improvements. The “Revised” date at the top will always show you when the last update occurred. By continuing to use Hotelz.lk, you agree to stay informed of and accept these helpful guidelines.
